Brain Injury Resource Coordination
Consists of outreach to people recently hospitalized in Virginia for brain injury; information and referral, consultation and technical assistance services to persons with brain injury, family caregivers and professionals. Includes education on brain injury, public awareness activities and advocacy to enhance services for Virginians with brain injury. The Brain Injury Association of Virginia is the sole provider and covers the entire state.

Referred to as DARS, this state agency provides services to help Virginians with disabilities become more independent and self-sufficient. Services are focused in employment, community based services, assistive technology/devices and equipment.
