Who We Are

On Our Own of Roanoke Valley is a drop-in Center that strives to improve the quality of life of men and women with mental health issues, or substance use issues by providing a variety of support and self-help groups.  The drop-in center also offers socialization, mutual support, and recreation.

Current groups include Peer Support, Bipolar Support, Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Women 2 Women, Veterans’ Coffee Hour, SMART Recovery (Self Management and Recovery Training), and an evening support group called Community Connections.

Recreational activities include bingo, card games, outdoor recreation, arts and crafts, Holiday activities, coffee, tea, snacks and more. 

Membership is open to anyone with mental health or substance abuse challenges.
