Who We Are

Emergency Services provides:

  • 24-hour crisis intervention counseling and referral;

  • court liaison for involuntary commitment procedure;
  • initial contact for the Sexual Assault Response and Awareness (SARA) program.

During the business day, this service provides a single source for determining placement through a variety of comprehensive assessment instruments.

Based on the outcome of the screening, individuals may receive a clinical assessment, short-term counseling, and/or referrals to the appropriate level and intensity of treatment, either from Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare or other community providers.
