Who We Are

Coordinated Homeless Intake and Action (CHIA) is the centralized entry point to homeless services for families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This service refers individuals to the most appropriate homeless assistance programs including prevention and emergency shelter. CHIA serves Lynchburg and the surrounding counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell County. CHIA is operated by local homeless response agencies.
