Prescription Assistance

Richmond Area Compassionate Care Pharmacy was created through a partnership with Senior Connections.  The pharmacy is open 20 hours a week currently and is located on MacTavish Avenue.  The entrance is a side door off Marshall Street.



This resource helps individuals who have chronic illnesses that require costly medications to maintain their health. The Compassionate Care Pharmacy can help them find free or reduced medications based on their specific needs.  This is helpful for individuals who do not have health insurance and are not yet eligible for Medicare based on their age.



The Pharmacy can help seniors in the donut hole, a gap in Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage before benefits resume.  Most drug manufacturers will help people in the donut hole.  Staff or volunteers can help a patient navigate the application process with pharmaceutical companies to get approval and medications in hand.
