The Arlington County Housing Grants Program provides rental assistance to low-income Arlington residents. These grants cover a portion of monthly rent, depending on household income, household size and rent amount. Applicants must meet income requirements and personal assets may not exceed $35,000.
Some Housing Grant guidelines have been modified temporarily to accommodate the severe impact of COVID-19 on County residents. Please see the Housing Grant COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions. Updates to Housing Grant COVID-19 information will be made weekly.
This program serves Arlington renters who are:
- 65 years or older,
- Totally and permanently disabled,
- Working families with at least one child under age 18,
- Clients and patients of a County-operated or County-supported mental health program.
