Who We Are

NCOA offers two programs that provide training and job placement for older adults who qualify.  Visit the website for more information. 

If you are at least 55 years of age, unemployed, and have a modest income, the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) may be able to match you with part-time training at a nonprofit organization.  This allows participants to build skills while earning income. SCS
To apply, simply contact your local NCOAEP office to complete an application. If you’re eligible and there is no waiting list, you will be enrolled to work at a training site.  There are two sites in Virginia: Alexandria and South Hill.
