Who We Are

The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Services' Supported Living Services provides treatment, training, and support to residents who have psychiatric or developmental disabilities.



The goal of this service is to tailor the treatment interventions to the specific needs of each person. The level of service varies with the client's needs. A consumer may receive supervision based on need including individual day care, daily (partial day), weekly or bi-weekly. The Supported Living staff provides training experiences and opportunities to enhance the client's community living skills.



Skills training includes:

  • Daily living activities;
  • Decision making skills;
  • Educational and vocational training;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Self-care.
