Adult Social Club, Developmental Disabilities

Fairfax County Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS) offers seven Adult Social Clubs. 
Friends and fun are the two key words in these Adult Social Clubs. Members get together for two or three activities a month, including picnics, going to museums, sport events like fishing, and kayaking, and special seasonal events.  This program promotes personal success and the development of social skills for adults with developmental disabilities.  Participants learn to plan leisure outings and events, making use of the leisure resources and opportunities in the community.  Transportation is not provided to the meeting site, but is provided from the meeting site to the activity.  Meeting locations are in Alexandria, Annandale, Fairfax, Reston, and Springfield.
