Who We Are

Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days per year for men, women, and children are housed in the two shelters located on West Grace Street. Individuals receive nutritious meals at the shelter, counseling, day care, infant intervention, job placement assistance, tutoring and referrals. The shelter also provides a Children's Resource Center, for children in the shelter to learn and play in, and take a break from the stresses and realities of shelter life.

You must call the Housing Crisis Line at 804-972-0813 for intake for shelter. Instructions will be given at that time.

The goal of the shelter program is to break the cycle of homelessness, alleviate an ongoing crisis and assist residents in moving on to transitional or permanent housing with the tools needed to maintain and self-sustain their lives.
Languages: English, interpreters are available for Spanish speaking clients.
