Who We Are

The James City County Division of Social Services administers state and local/federal human service programs to citizens of James City County (adults and their families) as mandated by state/local/federal governments.



Provides the following programs:  Cardinal Care Medicaid, general relief, food stamp program, aid to dependent children, VIEW employment services for TANF recipients, fuel and cooling assistance, daycare, foster home care, adoption, protective services for child and adult, alternate adult placement, companion services, counseling and treatment, and medication services for court.
