English for Speakers of Other Languages, ESOL

ESOL classes at Granby High School provide FREE instruction to non-native-speaking adults who want to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. After completing the evaluation process, ESOL students are placed at the appropriate ESOL level (beginning, intermediate, or advanced) according to their speaking ability and their performance on the Basic English Skills Test (BEST). Learners must attend 40-80 hours to take the post-test for measuring educational gains.  If a level is full, the student's name is placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when there is an opening.
