Who We Are
Bailey's Shelter and Supportive Housing (BSSH) is a 48 bed emergency homeless shelter serving both homeless men and women without children. During cold weather 10 cots are added for single night stays. As an emergency shelter the program provides housing, nutrition, personal hygiene and clothing in a clean, safe environment. The shelter has 48 beds for men or women with 4 additional medical respite beds for homeless adults discharged from hospitals needing extra care.
In addition to core services, a number of additional services are provided by Fairfax County staff, volunteers and community-based organizations. Also offers individual counseling, medical, educational, legal, mental health, and substance abuse services on site. Length of stay depends on the service plan. Provides aftercare and some longer-term support services.
BSSH also offers a drop-in program to provide respite to individuals in need, including the opportunity to bathe, receive a healthy meal and wash their clothes.
Office hours are Monday - Friday; service hours are 24/7
