Adult Education

Mountain Gateway Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education serving as a member of the statewide Virginia Community College System. The college serves the citizens of the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion), and Rockbridge, as well as the cities of Buena Vista, Clifton Forge, Covington, and Lexington.  Senior Citizen admission may be free of charge. Continuing education offerings are available for those individuals who wish to participate in activities that expand their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Continuing education may be in the form of credit or non-credit courses, or other formats such as seminars or workshops. Programs and services are scheduled throughout the year and may be offered during daytime or evening hours. In general, students who enroll in continuing education offerings are not pursuing one of the collegeÆs certificate or associate degree programs.
