Who We Are
New River Family Shelter provides emergency shelter to homeless families with underage children. New River Family Shelter (NRFS) operates 4 shelter units. Each month, NRFS provides emergency shelter for up to 5 families with children while they locate permanent housing.
If shelter is full or they cannot provide shelter, they will refer to another shelter and provide a bus ticket, gas voucher, etc. to transport. No provisions for single adults.
Provides case management for shelter clients. There may be a waiting list. Also can provide referrals to local programs for food and clothing assistance, school assistance for children, employment and job training, and/or medical and counseling assistance.
