Technology Training, The Career Gateway

Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA) offers a job search training program for seniors ages 50 plus.  The program can help update a resume, polish networking, and interviewing skills, use Internet resources more effectively, and turn your age and experience to your advantage. The Career Gateway features 30 hours of classroom instruction over five days, and includes comprehensive take-home materials, and practical exercises.  The cost is $75

 introduction to computers, word processing and other classes for the elderly in Maryland and Northern Virginia.  Students age 50 and better learn computer basics, email, graphics design and more at five JCA Senior Tech Computer Training Centers throughout the metro DC Area, where courses are taught by expert, older volunteers.  May classes focus on how to sessions on iPad, iPhone, Facebook, video and Skype.

Most classes are held during weekday mornings. Parking available. An Opportunity Grant fund helps low-income elders cover the enrollment fee if it presents a problem. Other program locations are available throughout the metro DC area.
