River City Classic, Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

RIVER CITY CLASSIC PRESENTED BY ALLIANZ MARCH 4-5 - Richmond’s Premier Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Returns to RockIt Sports. Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, is proud to host the River City Classic presented by Allianz Partners this weekend, March 4-5, 2023. Hosted by the Sportable Rim Riders, the adult wheelchair basketball tournament will feature a dozen Division II and Division III teams from across the east coast at RockIt Sports in Richmond, Virginia. Community members are encouraged to attend free of charge. The River City Classic will tip off on Saturday, March 4 with action beginning at 8:00 am and continuing on three courts throughout the day. The Sportable Rim Riders will take on the Shepherd Stealers (Georgia) at 11:00 am and the Magee Spokesmen (Pennsylvania) at 2:00 pm on Saturday and the Charlotte Rollin’ Hornets (North Carolina) at 8:00 am and the Triangle Thunder (North Carolina) on Sunday on the ITAC Court. The tournament will conclude with Championship Games on all three courts on Sunday, March 5.
