Homeless Day Center

St. Columba Ecumenical Ministries offers a Day Center for the homeless.  Open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM until 2PM, guests can get showers, sandwiches, coffee and snacks.  Laundry can be done when staffing permits. Guests can use the phone for local calls and use this address for purposes of seeking employment. 



The Homeless Advocate works with guests to connect with resources, such as bus passes to get to work and appointments, guidance obtaining ID cards and birth certificates, work boots and food.

Note: St. Columbia is not an overnight shelter.  If you are in need of shelter, please contact the Housing Crisis Hotline for assistance: 757-587-4202.



The Clothing Closet consists of donated clothing and linens and is open by a volunteer Mondays at 9:00 AM.



Food Pantry is open Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Families and individuals are provided with enough food for three days.  All clients must have a written referral from their case manager or social services in order to receive food and proof of address.
