Who We Are
The educational program at Lafayette School provides K-12 instruction for students aged 6 through 21 who have had difficulties in their home schools, or making the transition from residential treatment back to their homes. A student may have learning, social, emotional, or behavioral problems that interfere with his or her ability to learn. Problems may include depression, low self-esteem, attention deficit disorder, behavioral problems, drug and alcohol abuse, mood disorders, acting out, family problems, or learning problems.
Each student's course of study matches his or her Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals. Once a student is admitted, the school will provide academic and therapeutic services.
Vocational education and practical life skills are also provided to students so they will have the knowledge and skills needed when they exist in the school system and the community.
