Who We Are
Tidewater Community College, Chesapeake Campus, provides a two-year, non-residential institution offering a comprehensive higher educational program designed to meet the needs of area citizens. It cooperates with local industry, business, professions, and government in helping provide the requirements for trained manpower.
It is the agency's desire that no qualified students be denied educational services due to financial need. The financial aid office provides information concerning aid programs and administers financial aid programs funded by the federal government. Admissions Testing- The agency administers the comparative guidance and placement test to new students planning to enter one of the associate degree, diploma, or certificate programs. It is administered prior to registration.
The agency maintains a job referral service to aid students in securing employment while attending college, during vacations, and after graduation. Vocational Rehabilitation-The school works with the State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in providing education and training for persons with handicaps. English as a second language offered; other languages offered as course for credit.
