Event Description
Soul Reflections with Myra Anderson Thursday, September 30, 5:30–6:30 pm Poet Myra Anderson will read works depicting an intimate journey of life, of black experience past and present, of trauma and hope, ancestors, mental health, and of healing and resilience. A 7th generation descendant of the enslaved families of Monticello and the Enslaved Laborers of the University of Virginia, Myra has been the featured poet at numerous local events. Her widely anticipated debut poetry book “Reclaimed Roots” is due for release this fall. Free and open to all. Please register.
