The Department of Veterans Afairs (VA) Caregiver Support Line (CSL) is a toll-free numbe 1-855-260-3274 for caregivers, family members, friends, Veterans, and community partners to contact for information related to caregiving and available supports and services. Our dedicated CSL team provides information on caregiver support services, counseling, educational services, and referrals (electronic notifcation) to local Caregiver Support Program (CSP) staff at VA medical centers (VAMC).

CSL Hours

Starting February 10th, the Caregiver Support Line (CSL) is returning to its previous operational hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-8:00pm EST. With the majority of calls received between these hours, the Caregiver Support Program (CSP) will allocate CSL staff and resources to these times to provide support when caregivers are calling the most.

Call VA’s CSL to learn more about the support that is available to you and for assistance connecting with the Caregiver Support Team at your local VA Medical Center.

  • CONNECT: with the CSP team at your local VAMC, who assist with referrals to local services and enrollment in CSP.
  • DISCOVER: additional VA and community resources available to help care for a Veteran.
