Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) is a voluntary four (4) to six (6) month evidenced based program for family members, partners, friend, battle buddies, etc. who are caring for returning serving members or veterans living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),and/or physical disability. OFC staff coach the families of returning service members and veterans to manage the difficulties that come with coming home. OFC is a personalized program, tailored specifically to the struggles of each family. Through proven methods, the program teaches military families the skills needed to best navigate their challenges, resulting in stronger and healthier families.
In Virginia, Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health and Virginia Department of Veterans Services Centralized call center are in partnership. The program is serving families throughout Virginia. It is also offered throughout the United States, in person or via phone/Skype
