Who We Are

Union Mission Ministries provides a men's shelter.  Bashford Men's Shelter provides emergency shelter beds, beds for the discipleship programs (The David Development Program for young men 18-26 and Damascus Destination for older men), and Single Resident Occupancy rooms (SRO). SROs are for guests who have graduated from our Damascus Destination Program, or for residents who have been unable to find permanent housing. Rooms, based upon availability, may be offered at a low rent adding another step toward independent living.

The shelter includes a safe place to sleep and protection from the winter cold and summer heat.  Besides a bed, hot meals, showers, toiletry items, clean clothing, laundry services, emotional counseling and case management, chapel services and medical care are available.
