Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens has a veteran transportation program. Currently, transportation is provided for veterans to two VA Hospitals, one in Salem and the other in Johnson City, Tennessee. Tuesday is the day for transportation to Salem VA Medical Center. Thursday is the day to Mountain Home VA. Veterans are dropped off by 10 am and picked up to depart at 3 pm.

Call to request a ride at least one week in advance of the appointment. Also, call to cancel a ride appointment. Leave a message with a pick up request by pressing 3 after the automatic greeting. A dispatcher will return your call.
