If a caregiver of a veteran cannot safely remain in the home with their injured Veteran due to child abuse, physical abuse, or emotional abuse., Life after Caregiving program may help.
When the Caregiver is unemployed and has no source of income because of caring for the Veteran, The Life after Caregiving program may be able to assist with finding resources in the Caregivers area to assist with re-location and financial planning along with offering emergency shelter or travel payments.
A copy of a police report is required within 15 days of the issuance of funds.
