New River Valley Community Services, a Community Services Board, offers Medication Assistance Therapy (MAT). Medication Assistance Therapy is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a research based approach to the treatment of substance use disorders that has proven to be most successful. Suboxone or subutex is used in conjunction with participation in group or individual counseling.
