Foundation House, Residential Crisis Stabilization

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services offers Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS). The program provides short term, intensive treatment to individuals age 18 years or older who require multidisciplinary treatment in order to stabilize an acute psychiatric crisis and prevent admission to a psychiatric inpatient unit. Individuals receiving services are provided with case management, therapy and psychiatric care to meet their unique needs. RCS provides a safe, less restrictive and supportive alternative to inpatient care 24 hours per day, seven days per week for persons experiencing serious distress and impairment due to a behavioral health crisis. A certified pre-screener assesses all referrals prior to admission and acceptance into the program.
