Who We Are
The Adaptive Sports program at Wintergreen Adaptive Sports provides a year-round program supporting the injured military soldiers coping with the effects of war by using winter and summer sporting activities, special events, and confidence-building/mentoring activities.
The Winter program includes lift tickets, rental equipment, and instruction at no cost for skiing and snowboarding activities. The Summer Boating Weekend program provides canoeing and/or kayaking instruction on Lake Monocan and the James River. Food and lodging are included. The Annual Wounded Warriors Winter Sports Weekend is hosted at Wintergreen Resort during the month of January. Activities include skiing and snowboarding for all--spouses and family members-- and a banquet at the resort.
