Who We Are
Alive! House is a temporary emergency shelter and transitional housing for women and women with children. Alexandrians InVolved Ecumenically (ALIVE) House provides up to 24 months of shelter, support, and help developing life skills for homeless families.
Referrals are through the Alexandria Office of Community Services Homeless Services Assessment Center at 703-746-5700. Or contact 703-684-1430 for the House Director.
We also accept outside referrals on a case-by-case basis for families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Residents can work on emotional growth, living skills, parenting skills, education and career, financial independence. Upon leaving, appropriate housing is found.
