Who We Are

Veterans from all periods of military service are eligible for job referral, job training and job placement assistance through the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC). Veterans may access these employment services through a statewide network of VEC Local offices. We also work with those that are currently transitioning out of the military.  If you would like to know more about Virginia's Veteran Program or our partnerships, please contact Charlie Palumbo, Veteran Outreach Coordinator at charlie.palumbo@vec.virginia.gov.

The VEC provides veterans assistance at all of their local offices as well as at the following Virginia Military bases:  Norfolk Naval Base  (757-440-4024) and Fort Belvoir (703-805-0070).

Please Note: If you are a veteran with questions about your UI benefits, please call 1-866-832-2363, or review information under the Unemployed section.
