The Veterans Health Administration is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,250 health care facilities, including 172 VA Medical Centers and 1,069 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving more than 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

In Virginia, there are 3 VA Medical Centers, 1 Outpatient Clinic, 18 Community Based Outpatient Clinics and 5 Vet Centers.
